Mechanical Engineer/Maintenance Planner

Job brief

We are looking for a specialized Maintenance Planner with excellent process troubleshooting to assist with the start up of a new high speed line Fortune 50 Consumer Goods Manufacturer. This is a 3-12 month contract role based on performance, and will require 75%-100% travel as the contractor will need to be on site.

Responsibilities

  • Advanced maintenance planner or other relatively experience professional experienced in industrial manufacturing (preferably with Consumer Goods Experience)
    •  Assist with doing all the initial IQ / OQ checks to ensure that equipment is installed as required and all devices are installed in the proper orientation,
    • Assist with checking all mechanical aspects of the equipment (Alignment, torque tests, guards in place, free moving parts),
    • Assist with developing and documenting centerlines,
    • Assist with developing AM / PM Plans and documentation (Maintenance Plans),
    • Assist with developing CIL’s,
    • Assist with developing re-build instructions for equipment, Full understanding of LOTO (Lockout / Tagout) requirements and working around energized equipment, Understanding of production, packaging and conveying systems. Strong mechanical aptitude and/ or engineering degree/experience

Requirements and skills

  • 10+ years of experience as Mechanical Engineer/Technician/Maintenance Planner
  • Full understanding of LOTO (Lockout / Tagout) requirements and working around energized equipment,
  • Understanding of production, packaging and conveying systems.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and/ or engineering degree/experience
  • Proficiency in English
  • Outstanding time-management skills
  • Ability to multitask and being comfortable dealing with a diverse pool of people
